01 The developer control plane

Velocity without the blind spots.

Ship, observe, understand, and improve — inside one beautifully focused operating layer. No tab-hopping, no guesswork, no waiting for someone to reply in a thread.

01 Rollout intelligence

Move from ready to live in one smooth rhythm.

Every stage gated, every gate explained.

02 From localhost to the world

One command. A public, secure URL.

Point Tunlio at any local port and it opens an encrypted path to the edge — no firewall rules, no port forwarding, no deploy just to test a webhook.

01
Install once One binary. No daemon, no agent fleet.
02
Open the path TLS terminated at the nearest region, automatically.

03 Ingress, fully equipped

Everything the tunnel should already do.

Not a pipe with a URL bolted on — a full ingress layer with identity, policy, and observability in the same place.

01

Encrypted by default

Certificates issued, renewed, and terminated at the edge. You never touch a PEM file.

TLS 1.3 · HSTS · auto-renew
02

Your domain, your URL

Reserve a stable hostname or map your own. Links you send stay alive between sessions.

api.yourdomain.com
03

Policy at the edge

Rewrite, route, throttle, or block before a packet ever reaches your machine.

rate-limit · rewrite · route
04

A door on the front

Gate a preview behind your identity provider in one flag — no auth code in the demo.

OAuth · SSO · IP allowlist
05

Replay instead of retrigger

Fire the same webhook at your new code as many times as you need. No sandbox gymnastics.

capture · diff · replay
06

Built for teams, not laptops

Shared hostnames, per-member scopes, and an audit trail of who opened what.

scopes · audit · SCIM
07

Speaks your protocol

Not just web pages. Sockets stay open, streams stay streaming, and raw ports get the same treatment.

HTTP · WebSocket · TCP
08

Lives in your pipeline

A flag in the CLI, a block in a config file, or a step in CI. Ephemeral environments get ingress too.

CLI · config · CI · Docker
04 Request inspector

Every request, kept and replayable.

Headers, body, timing, and outcome for everything that crossed the tunnel. Pick a request — it's still there.

05 Where it earns its keep

Four hours a week you stop losing.

The same primitive, pointed at whatever is currently between you and feedback.

01

Webhooks that reach your laptop

Stop deploying to staging to see one callback. Providers hit your running code and you watch it land.

$ tunlio http 3000
02

Show work before it’s finished

Send a live link instead of a screen recording. It updates as you type, and dies when you say so.

$ tunlio http 5173 --domain demo.acme.dev
03

Test on the actual device

Phones, tablets, a smart TV in the corner — real hardware against your local build, over real TLS.

$ tunlio http 8080 --qr
04

Give an agent a way back

Long-running jobs and AI agents need a callback that exists. Gate it so only they can use it.

$ tunlio http 4000 --auth oauth
06 Total system awareness

Every event becomes a shared understanding.

Tunlio turns the noise of modern development into a living, connected picture your whole team can act on.

08 Security & trust

An open door you still control.

A tunnel is a hole in your perimeter unless someone thought hard about it. We thought hard about it — every path is authenticated, scoped, expiring, and logged.

Security questions: security@tunlio.com

Controls Default on
Encrypted end to end Modern TLS from client to your process. Nothing readable in between.
TLS 1.3
Expiring by design Sessions and share links carry a lifetime. Forgotten tunnels close themselves.
Auto-expire
Identity in front Require your provider before a request touches the tunnel at all.
OAuth · SSO
Traffic stays yours Bodies are held for inspection only while the session lives — off entirely with one flag.
No retention
Regional pinning Keep a session inside a chosen jurisdiction when the data demands it.
EU · US · APAC
Every action recorded Who opened which hostname, from where, and for how long.
Audit log
Managed WAF at the edge Injection, traversal, and known-bad payloads are dropped before your process sees them.
OWASP ruleset
Abuse absorbed upstream Volumetric floods and scrapers are shed at the region, never on your uplink.

09 Built for teams

Access that expires on its own.

A personal tunnel is easy. Shared ingress across a team is where it gets dangerous. So approval, scope, and expiry are part of the primitive here — not a policy doc nobody follows.

Nobody holds a standing key to production ingress. They ask, someone approves, the clock starts.

Access request Awaiting you
Farah wants 30 minutes Debugging checkout 500s against her branch
Hostcheckout.acme.dev Targetlocalhost:4000 Scoperead · replay · no policy edits Expires30:00 after approval
Every decision lands in the audit log with a reason.
01

Approval flows

Route requests to a reviewer, a rota, or a channel. Standing access to shared ingress stops existing.

02

Just-in-time access

Granted for minutes, not forever. The session closes itself and the hostname goes cold.

03

Scoped to the job

Inspect but not replay. Replay but not rewrite policy. Roles decide what the grant actually allows.

04

Handover without secrets

On-call takes over the same hostname without anyone pasting a token into a thread.

11 Questions

Before you ask.

Still unclear on something? Ask us directly — a founder answers.

Is my traffic stored anywhere?

Request bodies live only as long as the session that captured them, so you can inspect and replay. Close the session and they are gone. Prefer nothing captured at all? Start with the no-capture flag and the inspector stays empty.

What happens when my laptop sleeps?

The session pauses rather than dies. Reserved hostnames come back to the same URL when your machine wakes, so the link you sent an hour ago still works.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. Point a CNAME at us, and certificates are issued and renewed automatically. On Team plans a hostname can be shared, so whoever is on call takes over the same URL.

How is this different from deploying a preview?

A preview build is a copy of your code, minutes old, running somewhere else. This is the process on your machine, right now, with your debugger attached and your breakpoints live.

Does it work with gRPC, WebSockets, or raw TCP?

HTTP and WebSockets are first class today. TCP is in private testing, and gRPC rides on top of it. Tell us your protocol when you join the waitlist and we will prioritise accordingly.

When does the beta open?

We are onboarding in small groups so support stays personal. Founding waitlist members get access first, keep half price for a year, and can bring a teammate.
